San Pedro- Belize

San Pedro Town is the major settlement on the island. San Pedro's populace has grown to 10,000 plus year-round inhabitants, with many newcomers from the mainland and from abroad as well. The original "San Pedranos" (from the 1800's til the 1970's or so) are Mestizo, and and speak both Spanish and English. The island has the largest concentration of visitor accommodations in Belize and its hotels, fishing and diving facilities are some of the best in the country. 

The town is a picture postcard setting beside the clear turquoise sea. Coconut palms sway and rustle in the gentle cooling trade winds. Low rise hotels, guest houses and boutique style resorts & condos, from modest to magnificent, are nestled along the coast and throughout the town.  

 

 Belize is home of the second largest coral Reef in the world next to Australia but what makes our reef different is that in this case, the Belizean Marine life is fully alive with extravagant colors and a diversity of species. Come and enjoy a night a reef and swim with friendly sharks and rays.

Visiting the Reef isn't the only thing that can be done at "la isla bonita". As a tourist, you can also go for a walk with a loved one along the beach or enjoy the wild night life of San Pedro. You can visit a vast amount of places. Pick choose and refuse offers. 

If you are into the big partying, go over to Jaguar's night club and have an amazing night along others and local people. 

Its not the typical club you'd go to right? The San Pedranos were really creative when making this club and its designed especially so you can have the view of something different. Something like you have never experienced and which you will only get to know of if you visit the beautiful Island of San Pedro " La Isla Bonita".

Cayo- San Ignacio town

If you thought that Orange Walk town was not the idle place for you, then the people from San Ignacio are more than welcomed to share with you what mother nature has given to them. 

Known locally as "Cayo", San Ignacio is located along the Western Highway about 70 miles west and 90 minutes drive from Belize City and 9 miles east of the Guatemalan border. From exploring Maya archeological sites to canoeing down the Macal River San Ignacio Belize is a nature lovers dream come true.
There is a multitude of things to do in San Ignacio. The town is filled with archaeologists, peace corps workers, North American retirees and thrill seekers all here to experience the many interesting and unique adventures that San Ignacio has to offer. Tourists love the frontier-like wooden shops on narrow streets where they can shop to their hearts content or eat some wonderful local cuisine.

Mountain Pine Ridge Ecosystem
 
If at all possible, anyone and everyone that comes to San Ignacio Belize should try to get to Mountain Pine Ridge. It's an amazing place filled with pine trees for one, but also amazing views, caves, pools, waterfalls and rocks you can jump off. Some theorize this out-of-place ecosystem is the remnant of a volcanic island that long ago collided with the mainland.

 

 Some of the sites to see at Mountain Pine ridge include 1000 foot falls, which is really more like 1500 or 1600 feet, and it is thought to be the tallest waterfall in Central America. Also, on the list of things to do here is Rio Frio Cave. Rio Frio Cave isn't so much of a cave as it is a naturally formed tunnel and inside it is a quarter mile to the other side, so you are still going to need a flashlight.
Everything is big in this cave! The two 65-foot arched entry ways leave you in awe. Huge stalactites hang from the massive cathedral-like vault, which is part of a cave system the Maya used to bury their dead. Room size boulders are strewn throughout the cave and a stream flows through, forming pools with cascading falls.

 

Archaeological Sites

Belize is a melting pot of cultures. One of the most valuable gifts is our Mayan heritage. Our ancestors, one of the greatest civilizations that ever lived leave beautiful and enchanting gifts which we are proud to share with you.

Xunantunich meaning “maiden of the rock” or “stone woman” in Maya, is situated on the Western Highway across the river from the village of San Jose Succotz. It can be reached by ferry daily between 8 am and 5 pm. This site is less than one mile from some lovely rapids of the Mopan River and provides an impressive view of the entire river valley.

Orange Walk Town- Belize C.A

Orange Walk Town is the fourth largest town in the nation of Belize, with a population of about 13,400. It is the capital of the Orange Walk District.
Just like the rest of Districts in Belize, Orange Walk is filled with diversity.
From Chinese to Mestizo, Garinagu and East Indian people that welcome you with a smile to this our home town.
Since Orange walk is inland, both local and international tourists get to experience something different.
A visit to the Cane field or local Market maybe? 

Come enjoy some freshly picked pineapples or bananas from the local vendors.
I assure you, you'll enjoy the sweet taste of all chemical free fruits and veggies. 

When you're done visiting the market, perhaps a walk along the river bank will relax you.
